Martha V. Shelton
Inman, SC

Martha Virginia Weathers Shelton, 89, of 14 D Street, passed away Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at Lake Emory Post Acute Care, in Inman, South Carolina. Martha was born in Chester, South Carolina on August 25, 1931, a daughter of the late Furman Weathers and Allie Gilliam Weathers. She was the widow of Emmett Glenn "Skinny" Shelton.
Mrs. Shelton was a retired employee of, S & S Manufacturing and a member of Lake Cooley Baptist Church in Wellford, South Carolina.
Martha is survived by a daughter, Alice Mathis, of Campobello, South Carolina; a son, Ricky Shelton and his wife, Beth, of Lyman, South Carolina. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Wendy Fisher and her husband, Jason; Brian Mathis and his wife, Kristi; Anjell Henry and her husband, Jeff; Chad McDowell and Susanne Edwards; eight great-grandchildren, Carson Fisher, Ethan Fisher, Mason Mathis, Ryder Mathis, Lexi McDowell, Haskell Edwards, Jesse Edwards and Sawyer Edwards.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Shelton was predeceased by three sisters, Ruby Huntley, Mae Brittian , Ruth Cothran; and one brother, Bill Weathers.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 11:45 AM on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at Seawright Funeral Home in Inman, South Carolina. Funeral Services will follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home, conducted by, Rev. Mark Cannon. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Inman, South Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to, Lake Cooley Baptist Church 2591 Ballenger Rd. Wellford, South Carolina 29385.
